Adrian Frutiger (1928–2015) is considered one of the godfathers of Swiss typography, and his typefaces have influenced the development of global typographic culture in the second half of the 20th century. An appraisal of his oeuvre, written in German in 1994 by Jost Hochuli (a student of the master), has now been rendered into English by Alta L. Price and into Russian («Жизнь и шрифты Адриана Фрутигера») by Eugene Yukechev, with a new afterword by the author.
